If you are new to bouldering and wanting to take that first step out of doors then its a good idea to use a mat to cushion your inevitable falls. Before splashing out on a mat of your own you might want to give it a go first.
There doesn’t seem to be many places around North and West Yorkshire where you can hire a mat but we are aware that the Alpkit shop in Ilkley hires them out for £10 per day.
