There are those crags that hang about in the back of your mind – there are things do there, perhaps even exciting possibilities, but there isn’t any real rush. Funny little Harecroft crag is very much that type of place.
I turned down a trip to the Lakes to save my poorly arm. I promised myself that I’d only solo a couple of steady lines and have a scout for the future but inevitably got carried away.
The rock is friable in places and climbing without gear here feels more like soloing. It would make a fun afternoon or evening venue with ropes and a rack.
