Harecroft finished up

There are those crags that hang about in the back of your mind – there are things do there, perhaps even exciting possibilities, but there isn’t any real rush.  Funny little Harecroft crag is very much that type of place.

I turned down a trip to the Lakes to save my poorly arm.  I promised myself that I’d only solo a couple of steady lines and have a scout for the future but inevitably got carried away.

The rock is friable in places and climbing without gear here feels more like soloing.  It would make a fun afternoon or evening venue with ropes and a rack.

The latest topo covers Steve Wilson and Jay Russell’s original routes, the bouldering near the houses from November 2016 and the rest of routes.
