There has been re-awakened interest in the previously seldom visited but excellent boulders in the Everest/Khumbu Sectors where good rock and strong lines have provided local climbers Dave Sutcliffe and Neil McCallum with some rewarding FAs. These are in addition to the fine solution to some ‘last great problems’ in recent times by Tom Newman and a bold problem/route from Steve Dunning.
We had previously documented that tree felling and recent exploration has exposed a number of new blocks that have provided some very good problems.
All of this adds up to significant development since the publication of the YG2 guide.
