A cluster of several blocks set high on the moor to the west of Upper Nidderdale that provides a good day for walkers who like to boulder. It is a lovely spot. The rock is good though always likely to need a bit of a brush as there’s not going to be many visits.
Burn Stones are located in a sparsely covered woodland on the south bank of the River Burn in Colsterdale. This fine venue that is very close to Bingley is open again with some restrictions. It will be fine evening spot once we have some dry weather! Please take note and follow the arrangements.
The return visit to finish the exploration that started in 2015 has been done – where does the time go? Some quality, rough rock, problems will shortly be unveiled. It would be possible to walk in from Beamsley Beacon but the ‘commando approach’ from the A59 parking is great fun.
